Product Manager Assistant: Dell CSG - JHB - #574-10
We are seeking two dedicated Product Manager Assistants to oversee and manage all internal aspects of product management as defined by the Product Manager and BU Manager. This role involves end-to-end management of the distribution process for allocated Dell CSG products.
As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors while achieving brand-specific budgets and driving sales growth. By leveraging these relationships, you will establish yourself as a trusted advisor and key point of contact in the market, ensuring Dell products are effectively promoted and market share is expanded.

Requirements:
Educational
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Tertiary qualification preferable – Bachelor of Commerce.
Experience
- 3+ years in product management.
- Experience at a distributor/reseller level.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
- Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organising skills.
- Financial and business acumen, including understanding of primary metrics such as ROFI, GMROI, and GMROWC.
- Technology certified – carry all vendor certifications.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically advanced skills in Excel.

Responsibilities
Manage Vendor Correspondence and Communication
- Coordinate vendor interactions, handling correspondence and internal requirements; managing backorders and the ordering process.
- Track ETAs and expedite stock orders; resolve product issues while maintaining positive vendor relationships, escalating major issues to managers.
- Handle sales-related queries via the BTO inbox, ensuring timely responses to requests from internal teams.
- Place purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve shipment issues with contingency plans to meet deadlines.
System Management
- Assist sales teams with pricing decisions, promotions, and price list management; manage ETAs and update teams via Embrace platform.
- Maintain back-order reports, create part codes, approve RMAs, upload price lists, rebates, and product specs to the intranet.
Reporting and Stock Portfolio Execution
- Provide accurate stock availability updates and maintain stock provisions within 90 days.
- Develop action plans for aging inventory, monitor stock levels, and manage marketing emails on CRM systems.
- Develop channels to drive product sales while adhering to MDF budgets; analyse competitors to create promotions.
- Collaborate with Marketing and stakeholders to execute promotional activities, ensuring effective branding within budget.
- Set pricing margins per customer pillar with input from managers, sales teams, and CFO; address pricing anomalies based on market factors.
- Revise pricing weekly/monthly and guide teams in implementing updated pricing structures.
